Last weekend we went to Kerrville to visit friends, and while I was there we did three, count them three shoots. I’ll post all the good stuff over the next couple of days. Starting with Ethan and Evan. Ethan’s been learning the guitar, so we took the guys out behind their house to a little creek there, and brought the guitars along to see what we could get. The light was really weird that day. It was really overcast. And I know overcast is supposedly so great because it diffuses all that harsh Texas sunlight blah blah blah, but I mean it was REALLY overcast. I had my ISO bumped up to 800 or higher to try and stop motion, and I never shoot that high outside. Ultimately it didn’t matter though, because these two boys love the camera, and love to goof off, which naturally makes them my favorite kind of subject.

When Ethan saw this one he said he thought he looked like a Jonas Brother. I think he got more of a Jonny Greenwood vibe, personally.

The awesome thing about kids, is that the guitars kept their attention for about 10 minutes before things totally degenerated into throwing sticks and jumping out of trees.

Evan asked to get up in the tree, but once he was up there, he wasn’t real happy about it, so Ethan helped him get out. Awww. tear.

On the way back to the house, we got the cover for Ethan’s first album.
